Letters, emails, or other communication which is prepended with the word
"open" is more frequently "closed" (meaning that the time of discussion has
passed either by writ of exhaustion or exasperation). When I request information
in a correct fashion (with inoffensive connotations and written unambiguously
, I do not expect to be stonewalled for no visible reason. (not that I'm
making any demands nor intend to at the moment because it's costly and
thoroughly draining on the spirit. -- moreover the exigencies of replacing an
unreliable roommate take precedence for obvious logistical reasons).
Such attempts at communication ideally should not require query retransmits.
I would also petition ellided party to allow other people to make their own opinions,
rather than (effectively) being so defensive as to render communication
impossible without exceeding the bounds of good taste (which I don't intend to violate).
I can provide substantially more damning testimony about myself anyway than elided party
has available, and would like the oppotunity to do so.
(it has been pointed out to me by reasonable folk that it's possible ellided party didn't
carry though, in which case the metaphorical marks on my forehead are from repeated
application of my head at the center of a (still quite metaphorical) bang-head-here sign).
